Epic Games delays its Marvel and Star Wars shooter as it bets on AI, No Man's Sky reaches iPhone and iPad on October 28, and the He-Man beat 'em up finally has a date: here's what mattered yesterday.

Epic Games delays its Marvel and Star Wars shooter

The shooter Epic Games is making with Disney, which brings Marvel and Star Wars characters together, is no longer planned for March 2027 and has no new date, according to Jason Schreier (Bloomberg). His sources say teams learned last week they must switch to an "AI first" production model, with one of the game's directors telling staff internally there would be "no more hand-written code" and AI-generated art. Epic has neither announced the delay nor officially revealed the game; its communications director only said the company is "embracing AI-accelerated development." The project is meant to be the first to come out of the partnership signed in 2024, when Disney invested $1.5 billion in Epic and took a stake, GamesIndustry.biz notes.

It runs on iPhone 11 and 3rd-generation iPad Air or newer, with touch controls, controllers, and even mouse and keyboard on iPad. Multiplayer is not available on mobile, and planetary settlements require an iPhone 15 Pro or later. Pre-orders are open on the App Store, according to The Verge.

Nintendo has "no plans" to drop physical games
