It is led by Kayleen Walters, newly appointed President of XP, who is leaving her role at Mojang. She previously spent 13 years at Lucasfilm.

XP is organized around four investment areas:

  • Xbox Pictures: film, television and other linear storytelling;
  • Xbox Products: consumer products and licensing;
  • Xbox Places: live events, immersive experiences and attractions;
  • Xbox Partnerships: collaborations with creators and brands, including sponsorships.

Xbox states that "great games remain at the center of these franchises". In the same message to staff, Maria Angelidou-Smith joins Xbox as CEO of Mojang and Minecraft.
