Factorio 2.1 is now stable, with reworked space logistics and circuits
Wube Software has moved Factorio's 2.1 update out of experimental: space logistics, the circuit network and several buildings' visuals are reworked.
Factorio's 2.1 update is now marked as stable after a long summer in experimental, Wube Software says in Friday Facts #449, published October 23, 2026.
It adds no new planets, enemies or research trees. It improves Space Age logistics: rockets can carry several item types, platforms can import from all locations and transfer items between each other, and landing pads get an unloading bay.
The circuit network gains separate input and output wire colors, several buildings get new graphics, and the game runs natively on ARM64 Linux.
Saves from 2.0 will load, but saves updated in 2.1 cannot go back to 2.0, so Wube recommends a backup first. Some mods may not be updated yet.
