Switch 2 ports and enhanced editions coming before the end of 2026

Switch 2 is getting a wave of games this fall that are already out on other consoles or on the original Switch. They don't all work the same way: some are full ports you buy outright, others are Nintendo Switch 2 Editions (the Switch game plus an upgrade pack that existing owners can buy on its own), and a few come as free upgrades. Here is what is coming between now and December, game by game, and what it means for you. For the difference between a port, a remaster and a remake, see our guide Remaster, remake, reboot, port: what's the difference?.

Three ways onto Switch 2

The port: a Switch 2 version of a game released on other consoles. You buy it in full, even if you own the game elsewhere, unless the publisher runs a specific offer.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: the Switch game plus an upgrade pack that improves visuals and sometimes adds content. If you already own the Switch game, you only buy the pack.
The free upgrade: the publisher gives the Switch 2 version to owners of the Switch version.

October

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] — Thursday, October 8

Port. Three collections covering all of Sora's adventures to date, also sold separately. If you owned the Cloud versions on Switch, Nintendo says you can buy the native Switch 2 versions at a discount and carry over your saves.

Port. Capcom's RPG comes to Switch 2 for the first time, with its Dark Arisen expansion included: a new snow-covered region, new enemies and new character customization options.
