Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is out today

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen launches today, Friday, October 9, on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC, according to Capcom's announcement. It is a paid expansion that adds a new story to Dragon's Dogma 2, which came out in March 2024. On Switch 2, it comes bundled with the base game as a single package.

Forza Horizon 6 comes to PS5 on Tuesday, January 26, 2027

Playground Games has dated the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 for Tuesday, January 26, 2027, digitally and on disc, with cross-play and cross-save alongside the Xbox and Steam versions. The Premium Edition gets in five days early, on Thursday, January 21, the same day the first Premium Expansion launches on all platforms; a free update for all players arrives alongside the PS5 version. The game has been out on Xbox Series and PC (Steam and Microsoft Store) since May 19. As VGC points out, the PS5 version had previously been announced for 2026.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve passes one million copies

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, released on Friday, October 2 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC, has passed one million copies sold worldwide, Bandai Namco and Bandai Namco Aces announced. According to the publisher's Steam post, no entry in the series' 30-year history has reached that mark faster. Bandai Namco does not say whether the figure counts sales or shipments.

Paramount is making a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 film

Paramount Pictures is developing a live-action film based on Cyberpunk 2077, produced with CD Projekt Red, VGC reports, citing Deadline. CD Projekt joint CEO Michał Nowakowski said the studio is "excited about Paramount as a future partner" and will share more "at the appropriate time". No director, cast or release date has been announced.

Rockbeasts launches in January 2027, with Critical Role on board

Rockbeasts, a management RPG in which you run a 1990s grunge band, launches in January 2027, studio Lichthund announced on the PlayStation Blog. Critical Role is partnering on the game both creatively and as a publisher, and Matthew Mercer and Sam Riegel join the voice cast. The game is coming to PS5 and PC (Steam); the exact day has not been set yet.

GTA VI: six radio stations and a soundtrack album
