Squadron 42 opens its Steam page, Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO promises cross-play in 2027 and Konami is planning more Silent Hill: a quiet weekend with an eye on what's next.
Squadron 42 gets a Steam page, still aiming for Q2 2027
The single-player campaign set in the Star Citizen universe now has a Steam page, which lists a PC release in the second quarter of 2027. You can already wishlist it: you'll need Windows 11, 16 GB of RAM, a graphics card with 8 GB of video memory and 150 GB of storage. A new trailer shows on-foot sections, hacking and dialogue choices, with a cast that includes Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson and Henry Cavill, according to IGN. Cloud Imperium Games delayed the game in August to avoid launching against GTA VI.
Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO will test cross-play after summer 2027
To mark the game's second anniversary, Bandai Namco laid out its plans, as reported by Nintendo Life: a limited cross-platform online beta opens after summer 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC (Steam). The Switch and Switch 2 versions aren't part of it for now. The plan also includes Tower of Power, a run of increasingly tough fights that earn you items to customize your aura. It starts as a solo mode, then adds teams of up to five where each player controls one fighter in a series of duels. New paid characters are also on the way.
Konami is already thinking about the next Silent Hill games
With Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill f and Silent Hill: Townfall all out, Konami is weighing a "second" and "third wave" of games, producer Motoi Okamoto told Famitsu, quoted by Eurogamer. Several projects are under consideration, with no details yet. The only one announced so far is Bloober Team's remake of the original Silent Hill.
Strange Scaffold announces Gods With Badges, a police tactics game
The studio behind El Paso, Elsewhere and I Am Your Beast has revealed Gods With Badges, coming to PC with no release date on Steam yet. You play Harrow McClellan, a disgraced officer sent back to her old post, patrolling Scarhelm, a city of the future. When a situation escalates, the game switches to isometric turn-based combat. Switching off your bodycam for a while opens up new tactical and dialogue options, but nothing that follows goes on the record. The project builds on Hard Justice, an unreleased game from strategy studio Artificer, Eurogamer notes.
