Nintendo launches Pikmin Day, Netflix adapts PUBG as a series with Donald Glover, and Dune: Awakening and Warframe both expand in December.
Nintendo now celebrates November 1 as Pikmin Day, Netflix is making a PUBG series with Donald Glover, and both Dune: Awakening and Warframe grow bigger in December.
Nintendo makes November 1 Pikmin Day
In a surprise Nintendo Direct aired on Saturday, Nintendo declared November 1 "Pikmin Day," a yearly celebration of the series. Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy launches Thursday, November 12: you can give Oatchi nine different voice commands through the Switch 2 microphone, and Dandori Academy sets exams every Friday, Saturday and Sunday across 72 stages added six per month. A Nintendo Treehouse stream dedicated to the game airs today at 9am PT (6pm in Paris). On mobile, Pikmin Bloom gets Secret Caves this winter, while Hello! Pikmin, a series of animated shorts, kicks off with a first episode already out.
Netflix is adapting PUBG as a series with Donald Glover
A live-action PUBG series is in development at Netflix, Krafton announced on Friday in its press release. Donald Glover will direct, write, executive produce and star, with his brother Stephen Glover joining as writer and executive producer. LV3H, Krafton's entertainment arm, is involved in developing and producing the show. No premiere window has been given.
Dune: Awakening heads into the cold on December 1
Blood and Ice, a free expansion for Dune: Awakening, launches Tuesday, December 1 on PC, PS5 and Xbox. Its new map, the Polar Sink, takes players to Arrakis' frozen north, where survival means seeking out heat rather than hiding from it. Ice harvested from the well-guarded ice cap can then cool the machines in your desert base and speed up production. Funcom quotes around 35 hours of new progression, and plans an offline single-player mode in November, then cross-play in January 2027 (full rundown at PC Gamer).
Warframe opens the Tau system in December
Warframe: Tau, the next expansion for Digital Extremes' shooter, arrives in December on every platform the game is on, with no exact day yet. It takes the story beyond the Origin System, home to nearly all of the game for thirteen years, into a binary star system. Players will explore the orbital ring-city of Fornax and Perita, now a sandstorm-swept desert, and meet a new Warframe, Brysko. The window was confirmed during Devstream 198 on October 30, Polygon reports.
