Remasters and collections

Not sure what separates a remaster from a remake? We explain it in Remaster, remake, reboot, port: what's the difference?.

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] (October 8): KH HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, KH HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and KH III + Re Mind together on current consoles. Digital pre-orders on PS5 and Xbox get 48 hours of early access.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered (October 29): Telltale's Fables noir adventure, with new models, new lighting and a black-and-white Noir Mode.
Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos (October 29, PC): the 1999 3D platformer. The console versions mentioned by the press are not confirmed yet.

Watch the time zones

Steam often shows dates in US time, so the day before the European date:

Ratatan unlocks on October 14 at 3 pm UTC, even though the publisher announces the 15th.
Tales of Eternia Remastered unlocks on October 15 at 10 pm UTC, so on the 16th in most of Europe.
On Steam, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 shows October 22 and Phantom Blade Zero the 28th, the day before the announced dates.
Final Fantasy Resonance: the Steam page shows October 22, but Square Enix Asia announces the 23rd for the Steam version.
Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown launches on October 29 at 11 pm CET.

In the calendar, we keep the date announced by the publisher.

How we check dates

For each game, we open the official page (publisher site, Nintendo, PlayStation or Xbox listing, Steam page) and record the day we checked it. Platforms mentioned only by the press are left out: that is the case for the PS5 version of Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea and the Switch 2 version of Forever Ago. The calendar is updated when a publisher moves a date.
