4th weapons drop on Hard difficulty or higher. Play the weapon's own officer, on the side listed, and meet the condition: the weapon then appears in a precious item box or is carried by a transport unit that tries to leave the map. You keep it only if you win the stage.

Let Huang Zhong trigger his events (an arrow shot, then a cavalry charge down the hill), then defeat him.
Defeat Zhou Tai.
Defeat Zhang Bao within the first 20 minutes, then defeat the transport unit that appears at the 20-minute mark (70:00 left on the timer).
Defeat Guan Ping before the flood.
Find and burn the Wuchao supply depot (it is placed at random in one of four forts) while Yan Liang and Wen Chou are still alive.
Defeat Jiang Wei.
Shu
0 / 0Defeat Xiahou Dun, Zhang Liao and Zhang He, and trigger the 'protect Liu Bei' event by riding a horse near Liu Bei after Cao Cao's main army arrives. Do it all before Liu Bei reaches Liu Qi's ships.
Break through the 4th gate.
Defeat Xiahou Dun and Xiahou Yuan, and trigger Zhang Fei's shout event on Changban bridge (the bridge in the east, north of Xu Zhu). The event plays when an enemy officer engages Zhang Fei on the bridge. Tip: leave the northeast gate captains alone, or the event is hard to trigger.
Defeat Cao Xiu after he arrives with reinforcements (he shows up once Sun Li is defeated or after 13 minutes).
Defeat Sun Shangxiang. Tip: defeat Lu Meng early and stop Zhu Ran's fire attack, or you will end up fighting the whole Wu army alone.
Reach Cao Cao early to trigger their meeting scene, then stay with Han Sui and keep him alive until he meets Cao Cao and defects.
Take the central path, defeat Xiahou Shang, then carry on down the central hill until Cao Cao appears.
Defeat Zhenji and Cao Zhen right at the start of the battle (within about 5 minutes).
Save Ma Su when he is ambushed (defeat the officer attacking him), keep him alive, defeat every enemy officer, then enter Sima Yi's camp.
Defeat Zhang Ren. Pang Tong himself has to trigger Zhang Ren's ambush on the southern path west of the forest.
Wu
0 / 0Defeat Xiahou Dun and whichever officer holds the east side (Xu Huang or Zhang He, depending on the scenario).
With Lu Meng or Gan Ning still alive, make it through the Stone Sentinel Maze and defeat Zhuge Liang.
Defeat every enemy officer except Sun Ce. Defeat Zhou Yu's sub-officers before him, or they retreat.
Defeat Cao Xiu.
Defeat Lu Gong.
Defeat Zhang He.
Defeat Guan Ping.
Let the scripted event play where Zhang Liao kills Taishi Ci. Do not defeat Zhang Liao before it happens.
Defeat Zhang Liao.
Defeat Liu Yong (Liu Yao) while Taishi Ci is still alive. Taishi Ci then surrenders and joins you.
Defeat Zhang He.
Defeat Zhurong.
Others
0 / 0Defeat Yuan Shu.
Defeat Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Do not defeat Liu Bei first, or Guan Yu and Zhang Fei retreat.
Let every allied officer except Lu Bu and Diaochan be defeated (Hua Xiong, Xu Rong, Zhang Ji, Guo Si, Li Jue). Diaochan then defects to the coalition: defeat her.
Keep Wen Chou alive for the first 10 minutes.
Pick one enemy commander (Liu Bei, Sun Jian or Cao Cao) and defeat all of his sub-officers, then the commander himself.
Defeat either Ma Chao, Zhang Yi and Ma Dai, or Zhang Fei, Zhang Bao and Guan Xing.
Keep Dong Tu Na and Ahui Nan alive until they retreat together in a scripted event, about 10 minutes into the battle in the remaster (PS2 guides said 15 minutes).
Defeat Huang Gai.
Defeat Dian Wei.
